2022 Stinger

The 2022 Kia Stinger has three trim levels for you to consider: GT-Line, GT1, and GT2. There are some great changes provided with this new model, such as LED exterior lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a stylish body-colored rear spoiler which gives the vehicle a sporty appearance. The black exhausts and lower bumper help to finish the sleek and athletic visuals. You can also choose the new Scorpion Special Edition variant. This unique specialty model provides all the same features as the GT-2 and more.

As the newest Kia Stinger to hit the scene, this is a vehicle that offers two different engines that you can access depending on the trim you select. The GT comes equipped with the all-new and very powerful 300 horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The higher GT1 and GT2 trim levels provide an even more impressive engine. These two trims have a 368 horsepower 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine. Both of these engines use a strong 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters to drive engine production to the alloy wheels. They also all come with rear-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available.

The performance of the 2022 Kia Stinger depends on which engine you have equipped in the vehicle and the type of wheel-drive you use. The drive mode might also affect the performance, of which there are five: Sport, Comfort, Eco, Smart, and Custom. RWD vehicles have a fuel economy of 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, for 25 mpg combined. AWD estimates to about 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, for a total of 24 mpg. The mileage for RWD trims is estimated to be around 18 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 20 mpg combined. The addition of AWD with this engine further lowers the fuel economy by one mpg, though the combined mpg remains the same.

The 2022 Stinger has some excellent upgrades that help it stand out from its predecessors. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen display in all the trims. Depending on your chosen trim, there's also a brand new gauge binnacle that has a 4.2 or 7-inch display. You can enjoy additional comfort with enhanced stitching on the seats, a frameless rearview mirror, and brushed aluminum along the center console. It also offers dual-zone automatic climate control, 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, voice recognition, keyless entry, a push-to-start button, a wireless phone charger, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Of the three available models, the GT-Line and GT1 trims are slightly safer than the GT2 because they have better headlights and a plethora of advanced safety features. Nonetheless, the GT2 model is still really safe with its surround-view camera and head-up display alert.
