Your Kia has a forward-facing camera at the top of the windshield and also a front radar on the grill. This feature uses both to monitor the road ahead for collision threats. Lane-Changing Collision Avoidance

When changing lanes at the wrong moment, collision threats can arise with oncoming vehicles from the opposite direction. Also, sometimes a crash risk arises with a vehicle in the neighboring lane that’s moving in the same direction but at a slower speed than you. With this feature installed, these lane-changing hazards can also be detected and avoided or mitigated by your Kia.
